We've expanded the product section of the site with a dedicated topic on print reports and exports. Apexloop can work with document pages as templates into which automations substitute data from records, relations, formulas and view columns.
The new content covers PDF invoices, proposals, handover protocols, project reports and newsletters.
Why this matters
Print and export are not a separate module at the end of the process. They come from the data model. If an invoice uses a customer, line items, a QR code, amounts and dates, those values should exist in records and relations — not in a manually edited document.
The document page determines the shape of the output. Automation handles substituting the values, printing to PDF or converting to email-safe HTML.
Newsletters as a data process
A newsletter can be a database. Each edition is one record, the content is a document page link, the segment and date are standard fields, and the send is handled by automation.
This brings content planning, approval and delivery into the same workspace as the rest of the team's work.
