How to send a newsletter campaign
- 1Build your templateWrite the email in the Plate editor. Add dynamic placeholders for first name, company or any field.
- 2Define the segmentCreate a filtered view of your contact database. The segment updates automatically as contacts change.
- 3Create the campaignSet the subject, sender, reply-to, audience and schedule (immediate or planned).
- 4Preview and testPreview the email with real contact data. Send a test to yourself before the full send.
- 5Send or scheduleSend immediately or schedule for a specific time. Apexloop handles delivery and logs results.
Triggered emails beyond batch campaigns
Beyond scheduled newsletters, Apexloop can send individual emails triggered by data events.
Welcome email
Automatically sent when a new contact, trial or subscriber is created.
Renewal and expiry reminders
Sent a configurable number of days before a contract, subscription or licence expires.
Re-engagement campaigns
Triggered when a contact hasn't been active for a defined period.
Transaction confirmations
Order confirmations, payment receipts or registration confirmations sent automatically.
Control who can send to your contacts
Email campaign access can be restricted to specific roles — so junior team members can draft campaigns without being able to send to your full list.

What you need to send your first campaign
- 1
Contact database
Your contacts should be in an Apexloop database with at least a name and email column.
- 2
Email sender configured
Connect your sending domain so emails go out from your own address.
- 3
Unsubscribe field
Add a boolean column for opt-out. Apexloop uses this to exclude unsubscribers automatically.
- 4
Email template
Write a reusable Plate page template with placeholders for personalisation.
- 5
First segment
Create a filtered view of who should receive the first campaign.
Comparison
Newsletter inside Apexloop vs. separate email tool
The real cost of a separate email tool is not the subscription — it's the sync, the duplicates and the lost context.
