How it works

From contact database to sent campaign

Newsletter campaigns run on your live CRM data. Segments are database views — always up to date, no manual list management.

Build the campaign

  • Write email in Plate editor
  • Insert dynamic field placeholders
  • Preview before sending

Select the audience

  • Filter contacts by any field
  • Saved views as reusable segments
  • Exclude unsubscribes automatically

No separate tool

Your contact list is already in Apexloop

If you manage customers, leads or subscribers in Apexloop, your newsletter list is already there. No CSV export, no sync, no duplicate records.

CRM contactsSend campaigns to companies, contacts, leads or any database segment.
Dynamic segmentsFilter by any field — industry, location, plan, last activity date or custom attribute.
Communication historyEvery sent email is logged on the contact record — so your team has full context.
Automation triggersA campaign can be triggered by a status change, a date or a form submission.
Unsubscribe managementOpt-out is handled automatically — unsubscribers are excluded from future sends.
Send analyticsOpen rates, click rates and engagement linked back to contact records.

How to send a newsletter campaign

  1. 1Build your templateWrite the email in the Plate editor. Add dynamic placeholders for first name, company or any field.

  3. 3Create the campaignSet the subject, sender, reply-to, audience and schedule (immediate or planned).
  4. 4Preview and testPreview the email with real contact data. Send a test to yourself before the full send.
  5. 5Send or scheduleSend immediately or schedule for a specific time. Apexloop handles delivery and logs results.
Automation

Triggered emails beyond batch campaigns

Beyond scheduled newsletters, Apexloop can send individual emails triggered by data events.

Welcome email

Automatically sent when a new contact, trial or subscriber is created.

Renewal and expiry reminders

Sent a configurable number of days before a contract, subscription or licence expires.

Re-engagement campaigns

Triggered when a contact hasn't been active for a defined period.

Transaction confirmations

Order confirmations, payment receipts or registration confirmations sent automatically.

Permissions

Control who can send to your contacts

Email campaign access can be restricted to specific roles — so junior team members can draft campaigns without being able to send to your full list.

Getting started

What you need to send your first campaign

  1. 1

    Contact database

Your contacts should be in an Apexloop database with at least a name and email column.

  2. 2

    Email sender configured

Connect your sending domain so emails go out from your own address.

  3. 3

    Unsubscribe field

Add a boolean column for opt-out. Apexloop uses this to exclude unsubscribers automatically.

  4. 4

    Email template

Write a reusable Plate page template with placeholders for personalisation.

  5. 5

    First segment

Create a filtered view of who should receive the first campaign.

Comparison

Newsletter inside Apexloop vs. separate email tool

The real cost of a separate email tool is not the subscription — it's the sync, the duplicates and the lost context.

Separate newsletter tool

Mailchimp, Brevo, Klaviyo

Contacts must be exported and importedrecurring
Segments go stale between syncspermanent
Communication history in separate toolno context
Duplicate contacts in two systemsinevitable

Every new contact or change must be synced manually or via integration.

Why built-in newsletter

Separate email tool vs. Apexloop newsletter

Separate email toolAnother tool to integrate and sync
Contact list driftLists in the email tool and CRM diverge over time — leading to outdated segments and duplicate sends.
No CRM contextThe email tool doesn't know deal stage, last meeting date, contract value or custom fields.
Integration to maintainSync breaks when either system updates. Someone must monitor and fix it.
vs
Apexloop newsletterCampaigns on your live data
Always-fresh segmentsSegments are database views — they update as contacts change, with no manual maintenance.
Full CRM contextSend campaigns based on deal stage, last activity, custom fields or any combination.
No integrationNewsletter is part of the same platform as your CRM. No sync, no API keys, no duplicates.
